John S. Kloss, Jr.

Houston, TX- John Schubert Kloss, Jr. was born in Westfield, NJ on November 28, 1960.

He attended high school in Memphis, TN and Beaumont, TX, graduating from Lamar University with a BA degree in economics and financial planning.

John was an executive and investment advisor with several major financial institutions in Houston, TX. For the past five years, he became a home builder and was known for his craftsmanship in luxury homes in the River Oaks area.

He attended auto racing events and became an avid collector and restorer of many antique cars. John enjoyed many happy summers with his family on Squam Lake, NH while hiking, boating and fly fishing. He was very fond of all of his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his father, John S. Kloss; sisters, Deborah Raessler Rick, Susan McManus Reid, Lynn Reed Dr. Kevin, their respective spouses; six nieces and nephews, Brent and Drew Raessler, Morgan McManus, Philip and Taylor Reed, Whitney Reed Kenon Adam, and great-niece, Savannah Ruth Kenon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Lukert Kloss.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.

The family has suggested that remembrances be made to Skidaway Island United Methodist Church Memorial Garden, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411.
